Twice each year, members of the Taurus and Sable Owners Club travel cross-country to Columbia, South Carolina for a weekend of wrenching, group photos and camaraderie. Tradition holds a trip to Pull-A-Part to find fixes, upgrades and hidden treasures on the yard — and this year, a special surprise awaited:
Club admin Sean Garland led a team of 16 explorers through Pull-A-Part’s Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable inventory in search of rare parts in good condition. The team wasn’t disappointed: one member rescued the black center console and door panels from a rare Taurus Sport. Another member recovered the rear sway bar off a Taurus Wagon — a job made even easier because every car at Pull-A-Part is elevated for safety and convenience.
Best haul this weekend definitely goes to @anthony__foster who got a nearly complete Taurus Sport interior at @pullapartauto in Columbia SC! Another reminder that used parts are #stillgoodstuff!!! A photo posted by Taurus & Sable Owners Club (@taurusowners) on
